Nestled between the wonderful communities of Victoria Village, Topham Park, and Parkview Hills, we’re so very fortunate with our neighbours and look forward to serving this community for many years to come.

Our Story
Welcome to the Circles & Squares!
Our move to 197 Bartley took place late summer of 2022, but it’s long been in the works. When we started C&S back in 2005, we moved to a building that was supposed to finished with retail space and it never happened during the term of our lease so we had to focus on supplying other cafes, restaurants, and event spaces (and what a wonderful journey that’s been!). When we found out that this bright and airy East York space may come available, we jumped to move our bakery further into the city and finally open our own retail bakery space.
As you peer through the glass wall behind the café, to our pastry lab and beyond that to our wholesale bakery, our new retail space at Bartley allows all our customers to see where all the magic happens.
Everything served in our café comes out of our pastry lab– this gives our pastry staff complete creative control to try out all kinds of new baked goods on our awesome neighbors and fellow pastry-lovers, with menu changes daily. This passion for excellent pastry, combined with our love of coffee and a cool calm interior with a warm, bubbly café team makes Bartley a very special place to visit.
